About The Role:
This internship is designed for current undergraduate or graduate students seeking a career in Facilities Management and currently enrolled in a FM degree major at BYU. Participation in the internship program is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of the Facilities Management business and valuable skills, earned by working alongside dedicated professionals in the world’s largest firm in the commercial real estate services industry.
The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your Facilities Management career. The program provides you with an outstanding perspective on our coordinated service lines. As a program participant, you will partake in learning and development activities designed to provide a well-rounded experience.
What You’ll Do:
You will have an opportunity to rotate through different functions of the Facilities Management pillar related to supporting The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints client account and can engage in a significant project that will contribute toward a higher quality of service provided by CBRE to our client. You’ll be a part of the FM Operations team, and participate with colleagues in local, regional and account-wide group meetings.
Potential rotations could include:
+ Assist with finance and supplier billing projects,
+ Partner with sourcing/procurement on supplier bids or contracts
+ Work alongside an Operations Manager in the field solving client facility issues marshalling both CBRE technician and third-party supplier resources
+ Observe how a Regional Operations Manager drives team performance management
+ Work on logistics planning projects related to our technicians in the field
+ Contribute to our data analytics team related to dashboard development
Internship Dates: TBD tentative early May – End Aug 2025
Location: Our managed client portfolio is in the Eastern U.S. and Canada. Most work can be completed remotely, but some travel will be required at company expense.
*We do not offer relocation assistance, but a rental offset will be considered for candidates with summer lease contracts who may be able to reside in the East at their own expense during the internship.
Compensation: 40 hours per week at $25 per hour
What You’ll Need:
This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative and focused, seeking to excel in the commercial real estate industry.
Current college junior, senior, or graduate level student, graduating in December 2025 or in 2026 and currently enrolled at BYU.
+ 1-2 years Facilities and Property Management major coursework
+ Desire to work in the Facilities Management industry
+ Strong presentation skills
+ Ability to network and interact professionally with internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment
+ Detail-oriented and self-motivated
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively
+ Experience with MS Office with intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Familiarity with any CMMS and Tableau is a plus
