The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing preventative, corrective maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs to maintain a safe productive workplace, and additional duties as assigned.

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role involves performing preventative, corrective maintenance, routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs to maintain a safe productive workplace, and additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facility infrastructure to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize production interruptions.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that the facility meets local, state, and federal safety standards.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks, and assist in ordering replacement parts as necessary.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to track performance and compliance.
- Work closely with production teams to understand maintenance needs and coordinate schedules to limit impact on operations.
- Act as a first responder to facility-related emergencies, implementing appropriate actions to resolve issues swiftly.
- Overtime and call outs are required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, etc.) are a plus.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Proficient in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory management.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
