Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs essential maintenance on the building structure and grounds, this includes painting, drywall repairs, minor plumbing, and changing air filters. They will also assist as needed with manufacturing equipment repairs and adjustments as directed by the maintenance supervisor.

This is a day shift position

Essential Job Functions

Perform maintenance work orders throughout the building and grounds.

Disassemble and reassemble components including pumps and valves during cleaning cycles on the manufacturing lines.

Change filters and perform preventative maintenance on heating and ventilating equipment (HVAC).

Assist technicians with setup or mechanical repairs on production equipment when requested.

Complete logs and communicate with Supervisors, Managers and Operators on work performed.

Participate in the implementation of various improvement projects.

All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Essential Qualifications

Proven track record performing building and/or machine maintenance.

Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Painting and drywall repair.

Candidates must be self-motivated & able to multi-task.

A team-oriented mindset; willingness and ability to take on other functional roles in the facility as needed.

Good English language skills - both written & verbal.

Physical Demands

Standing and walking for up to 8 hours.

Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.

Able to push/pull more than 1,000 lbs. using pallet jack.

Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists, and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift.

Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights, and climb steps with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs.
