Description
We are seeking a full-time hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Manager for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the facility through successful coaching and development of the maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be involved in manual labor, have an active role on the day-to-day tasks/projects, solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as engineering and mechanical concepts. This role will be to report directly to the General Manager and work on-site at our cultivation facility in Riverbank.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day task and projects throughout the facility, assisting the crew daily.
- Manage sanitation, landscaping, and building and equipment maintenance to ensure the facility is fully operational and all systems and utilities are in good working order.
- Schedule and supervise maintenance and repairs in a timely fashion.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Effectively oversee and train sanitation and maintenance crews to ensure that all actions performed in the facility adhere to SOPs and protocols.
- Monitor equipment inventory, tool crib, and landscaping and place purchase and service requests as needed.
- Ensure a positive work environment, motivated staff, and efficient workflows through open communication, team leadership, technical guidance, staff scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Develop methods for reducing expenditure and operate within budgetary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment. -lead by example.
- Work closely with General Manager and other departments as necessary to implement Company goals.
- Create work schedules, maintenance logistics, goals, and objectives.
- Assist in hiring maintenance staff members.
- Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are complied with.
- Partner with Human Resources as necessary to ensure a positive productive work environment.
- Requires traveling.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years in facilities maintenance management role, preferably in a high-tech sector.
- Strong knowledge and experience in high and low voltage electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and/or CO2 maintenance.
- Experience in Surna, CoGen, and/or RO systems preferred.
- Previous construction, carpentry, or manual labor experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
- Effective and efficient communication skills are a must.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
- Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, and materials).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as team leader and coach.
- Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute reliability and honesty.
- Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet.
- Close visual focus required.
- This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

This position involves a fair amount of manual labor which requires repetitive tasks. This position operates indoors and outdoors which can reach different temperatures. This position may require working at heights up to or exceed 20 feet. This position requires you to drive to local vendors and sites within Ca. May travel to our sites in Arizona or Illinois. The facility operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.
Must complete a background screening and drug screening.
