We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Facilities Maintenance Technician - We are willing to train!

Full time, Monday-Friday, day shift position. Pay is up to $22/hr.!

Performs skilled maintenance work that may include light construction, carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing or electrical repair, clinic equipment set-up, moving of furniture and appliances, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, and various maintenance related issues as instructed by the Facilities Maintenance Lead, or Director of Facilities.

Responsibilities

Daily Job Duties:

• Represent Maintenance department in a favorable fashion as they complete their assigned tasks.
• Complete assigned work orders as required.
• Transport correspondence as needed daily to various clinics
• Pick up trash as needed around clinics
• Occasional after-hours and/or weekend shifts required.
• Take rotating turn with other facilities staff providing 24-hour coverage of emergency on-call phone.
• All other duties as assigned

Repairs:

• Locate and repair minor HVAC, roof or windows leaks, replace ceiling tiles as needed
• Repair or replace damaged plumbing components, such as water lines to faucets; leaking commodes
• Repair or replace construction components (sheetrock or concrete) as/if needed
• HVAC systems troubleshooting and repair, to include filter routine changes
• Address HVAC concerns from internal and external customers
• Repair doors, including painting/hardware, lockset repair and key replacements
• Troubleshoot light fixtures, repair/replace fixtures/ballasts/bulbs as needed after troubleshooting
• Minor electrical repairs as qualified and not covered by codes.

Maintenance:

• Maintain fleet vehicles as per fuel and washing/oil change scheduling repairs, tire repairs, etc.
• Power wash exterior of clinics as needed
• Paint clinics (inside or outside) as needed

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of at least three (3) years of maintenance work experience
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

• Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
