Position Overview
Have you spent most of your career traveling from site to site managing traffic, gas costs, and wasted time? We have a role that offers the benefit of one work location, reliable hours, and exciting work on both facilities and production equipment. You will be responsible for installation and maintenance of electrical systems for services, feeders and branch circuits including service drops for production equipment, any commercial electrical service equipment and branch circuits for commercial and light industrial machine drops, warehouse and office power systems
What you'll do
- Responsible for daily interaction with materials planning team to solve material shortage issues
- Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to provide wiring support for production equipment.
- Assist the Master Electrician in overseeing the work performed by outside contractors.
- Ability to understand and interpret schematics and blueprints along.
- Ability to work with voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters and hand tools will aid in your success.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time. Will order electrical supplies and track project budgets in addition to performing hands-on wiring tasks.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Position requires regular and predictable attendance.
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- Must have Colorado JW License
- Must have 3+ years of Industrial & Commercial Electrical Experience
- Expert knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA79 and NFPA 70e.
- Must have Electrical Estimating experience
- Expert knowledge of the principles of wiring motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers and fuse boxes operating on AC/DC power systems.
- Expert knowledge in the installation of electrical panel boards, load centers, conduit, conductors and power transformers.
- Expert knowledge of safety procedures in working with electrical systems.
- Solid knowledge of and ability to work with voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters and hand tools.
- Solid knowledge of computer use and software such as MS Word and Excel.
- Solid ability to read, understand and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Solid ability to apply predictive maintenance and value engineering of electrical equipment.
- Solid proficiency in the use of Google Suite and the "Request for Service (RFS) system in SAP.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Body Movement
- Will frequently walk within production areas and between various buildings while performing job duties.
- Will frequently push and pull pieces of equipment while installing or repairing electrical equipment.
- Will frequently stand while installing or repairing facilities and production equipment.
- Will frequently climb ladders and stairs to a height of 10-ft in order to reach electrical power sources.
- Will frequently sit while accessing computer, completing paperwork or attending meetings.
- Will frequently use a scissor lift at a height up to 25-ft while installing conduit to ceiling, replacing lamps and or routing conductors.
- Will frequently bend/stoop/squat at knees to examine equipment situated close to ground level.
- Will frequently twist hand, forearm and elbow while installing or repairing electrical equipment.
Back and Upper Body (lifting and carrying)
- Will frequently lift and carry spare parts and pieces of equipment when performing electrical installation and repair functions. Will occasionally need to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Vision
- Constantly uses sight in performance of daily duties.
Hearing
- Frequently uses hearing to verbally communicate. Frequently listens for warning alarms on forklift equipment being operated within the production area.
Work Environment
Production environment 85%; 15% office environment. Exposure to noise generated by production/facilities equipment, occasional fumes from solvents, vibrations from hammer and other drills, dust from fabrics, cement drilling and dirt.
