As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement activities to deliver better equipment performance across the contract packaging network. Become a part of our growing, dynamic team and we'll help you take your career to the next level.

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Coordinate teams to improve preventive maintenance programs
- Support all site capital projects from scope creation to go-live
- Work with site management and engineers to develop training programs for machine operators
- Build relationships with key OEMs for future training and automation opportunities
- Act as superuser and network resource of all equipment
- Demonstrate an understanding of and adhere to GXO's quality and environmental policies; maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure accurate use of processes
- Ensure mechanical, plumbing, and electrical facility equipment is properly maintained in good, safe working order
- Perform and/or schedule preventive maintenance of facility equipment and repairs in a timely fashion
- Handle contractor services and bids for HVAC, janitorial, waste removal and recycling, PIT maintenance and repair, elevator inspections and repair, pest control, annual service for
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities
- Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with the most widely known and emerging tools, technologies and social applications
- Experience with PLC programming (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley), VFDs
- Experience with controls power distribution layouts, panel layouts, hardware specification
- Experience with robots, high speed sorters, ASRS, Goods-to-Person robots, various conveyance systems
- Experience setting up and working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System
