About the Job
Description SAIC is seeking a top-notch Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our talented team in Chantilly, VA.
This position is responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise for design and construction projects across all facilities in the Customer's portfolio.
To qualify, you must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
The ideal candidate will serve as the electrical lead within the facilities management organization and act as the interface with customer contracting representatives, design & construction contractors, Site Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support contractors, local utilities, and other customers and stakeholders on relevant matters.
Other Key Responsibilities:
• Act as liaison, reporting to and coordinating with customer representatives at multiple levels.
• Review and comment on design documentation, operational procedures, and construction installations, ensuring documentation and projects meet the customer's standards.
• Coordinate with the Facilities O&M support contractor on site operation and resiliency.
• Analyze power capacity, usage rates, and trends.
• Assist in the evaluation of the electrical system related anomalies and perform root cause analysis.
• Independently review and provide response to electrical requests for information (RFI), shop drawings, and construction submittals in support of construction efforts.
• Lead technically complex electrical engineering projects.
• Develop and generate standards, specifications, ROMs, SOWs, and estimates.
• Ensure the customer receives valid cost proposals.

Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 14+ years of relevant experience in the IC, DoD or 12+ years in the commercial sector.
• Knowledge of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes.
• Familiarity with facility electrical systems.
• Engineer-in-Training.
Desired Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in business or engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (any State).
• Experience with Data Centers.
• Experience with medium voltage.
• Experience with automation and controls from concept planning , configuration, and development.
