Facilities Coordinator (Temporary) Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable candidate to ensure an optimal working environment in our building. In this role, the successful candidate will be performing regularly scheduled building inspections, which will aid in maintaining our campus facilities appearance and cleanliness.
The Facilities Coordinator should exhibit ability to organize maintenance reports and enter work orders in the university’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Facilities Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Assist with building preventive maintenance schedules.
- Enter trade and cleaning crews maintenance work orders.
- Responding to urgent maintenance calls.
- Participate in regularly scheduled campus facilities inspections.
- Managing equipment and supply needs, including furniture, telecommunications, kitchen appliances, office equipment and supplies, and climate control.
- Communicate with end-users on behalf of Facilities & Campus Operation department on work order status.
- Report progress and any service-related issues to the Stevens Shop Manager on a regular basis.
- Assist in documenting and keeping maintenance records.
- Monitoring of the maintenance work order desk. Provide administrative assistance, answers incoming calls.
Facilities Coordinator Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Ability to organize and maintain maintenance work orders and schedules.
- Ability to respond to end-uder building service and cleaning requests.
- Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
