We are seeking a talented and experienced Fabricator to join our dynamic food manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a highly-skilled individual who has a knack for problem-solving and a strong background in conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations, utilizing their technical skills to create and modify equipment and machinery. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects, contribute to the efficiency of our production process, and grow professionally in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, create, and modify machinery and equipment in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
2. Maintain and repair various types of manufacturing equipment, including conveyor systems, pneumatic devices, and hydraulic machinery.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement manufacturing processes.
4. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of our equipment.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, applying effective problem-solving skills to minimize downtime.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
7. Provide technical guidance and training to junior fabricators and other team members.
8. Continuously seek ways to improve processes, enhance system performance, and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with conveyor systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
4. Exceptional technical and mechanical skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing industry.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Physically able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physical tasks associated with the role.
11. Willingness to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
12. Certification in welding or other relevant fields will be an added advantage.
