Job Title: FAA Assembler - Temp to Hire
1st Shift: Pay rate range: $17 (depending on experience).
Job Description
The Assembler position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various
electrical/electronic equipment.
Job Core Responsibilities
• Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard
• Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited
supervision
• Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance
with company instructions and procedures
• Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to ensure correctness in accordance with
company and/or customer drawing
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards
• Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
• Additional job duties and tasks as needed
• Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
• Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
Job Specifications
Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and
work experience
Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior related work experience in an electrical/avionics manufacturing/testing
environment
Skills:
• Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English
• Effective oral and written communication
• Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
• Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
• Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun
• Lift and Carry up to 30lbs
• Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol
screenings
• Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation
• Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents
or procedures
• Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering
• Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions,
policies and procedures
• Experience with MS Office Suite
• Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
• Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities
• Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side
• Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands
Assembler
• Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf
• Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded
• Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling,
exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
