Position Overview:
The F&A Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the organization’s financial processes, including month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, corporate accounting activities, and audit support. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll accounting, intercompany transactions, short-term and long-term incentives, prepaids, and related reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End & Quarter-End Close: Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconciliation: Prepare, analyze, and resolve complex account reconciliations for key accounts, such as payroll, prepaids, short-term and long-term incentives, and intercompany transactions.
- Corporate Accounting: Perform corporate accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure proper recording and alignment across entities.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actual and budgeted/forecasted results and provide insights to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to the development of more efficient workflows.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for reconciliations, procedures, and audit support.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Reconciliation Expertise: Proven experience with reconciliations for payroll, intercompany accounts, prepaids, and short-term/long-term incentives.
- Audit Experience: Familiarity with supporting internal and external audit processes.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Tools & Systems: Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications: CPA or working towards a CPA is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and auditors.
