You'll be responsible for overseeing comprehensive audits and assessments for government agencies, leveraging your expertise to deliver outstanding service and valuable insights.
In this highly visible role, you'll lead audit teams, managing all aspects of complex engagements from planning to execution and reporting. Your responsibilities will include developing detailed audit plans, monitoring progress, supervising the drafting of deliverables, and ensuring high-quality work products. You'll provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth.
As an Audit Manager, you'll work closely with senior leadership, keeping them informed of project status and important developments. You'll also contribute to business development activities, proposal writing, and internal initiatives that drive the firm's growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (master's degree preferred)
- CPA required, additional certifications such as MBA, CGFM, CDFM, CIA, CFR, PMP, or CISA are desirable
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years at the manager level or equivalent supervisory role
- Familiarity with government auditing standards, GAAS, GAAP, and relevant OMB circulars and regulations
- Experience in financial statement audits, performance audits, compliance audits, or cost accounting audits
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior government clients and propose solutions
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing people, including performance evaluations and staff development
- Knowledge of the federal and/or commercial healthcare industry
- Ability to create and edit technical and non-technical work products and presentations
- Experience working in teams to produce high-impact deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for supporting public sector clients with a healthcare mission
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to draw complex conclusions from data
- Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments
- Ability to assist clients in short- and long-term planning efforts
- Clearance or eligibility to obtain a Public Trust
