Exterior Trim Launch Engineer

Launch support of automotive exterior component parts in manufacturing plant
Excellent product knowledge of Exterior trim components (Bumper, Cladding, Spoiler, Door exterior trim, Front Grill, Garnish, Mudguard, Emblem )
Check the quality of components and identify defects if any
Find the root cause of product issues and provide temporary countermeasure
Work with cross functional team in the plant to find a permanent solution / design fix for ongoing issues
Create a CAD proposal in Catia V5 and conduct change management
Collaborate with key exterior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and production build events
Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAs, DVP&R s Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive exterior / bumper components and subsystem
Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
Perform feasibility and packaging study
In-depth knowledge of Plastic tooling "
