General Summary
The Express Expediter is tasked with ensuring catering, call in, and take out orders are handled efficiently and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. This position requires communication with the General Manager, Pit Master, Assistant Managers and Crew for product preparation, inventory, and product availability to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable about the Outlaw’s BBQ menu items.
- Perform functions of a cashier by operating a point of sale system to take orders and process payments, including the ability to count correct change.
- Ensures ticket times are in compliance with operating standards for prompt and consistent delivery to the guest.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of order before delivery to the customer.
- Ability to multi-task while accepting outgoing delivery orders including phone in and Waiter orders.
- Coordinates all outgoing orders for prompt pick up and delivery.
- Responsible for all communication between management staff, line cooks, pit room staff and Front of House crew members regarding inventory needs and product preparation for bulk to go orders.
- Coordinates time, delivery, location and communicates the information to the designated runner.
- Anticipates replacement needs for prepared side menu items to determine sufficient product is on hand for additional shifts.
- Monitors progression of restaurant opening checklist to ensure that all tasks are complete before doors open.
- Replenishes items needed for outgoing orders as needed.
- Ensures food quality, temperatures, and holding times on prepared menu products in accordance with operating procedures.
- Maintains bar service for beverages and menu items.
- Assists other team members with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant/property including disposal of trash and debris from outside parking lot, cleaning windows and other general cleaning requirements assigned by management.

- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Ability to anticipate needs of the customer and proactively work to meet those needs.

- Attend shifts according to schedule and in proper uniform.
- Provides a safe working environment by complying with safety rules and reporting potential hazards.
Physical Demands of the Job
- Be able to reach, bend, squat, stoop, shake, carry, push and lift items throughout the shift.
- Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds, rarely lifts 40 pounds.
- Good hearing for accurate communication.
- Occasionally uses a ladder and/or step stool.
- Consistently kneels to utilize proper lifting procedures.
- Consistently lifts for product preparation, stocking, and inventory.
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
- Frequently stoops to pick up supplies and trash.
- Ability to work standing and walk for 8 hours or more per day.
- Consistently sees during all activities.
Education and Experience
- Experience in a limited service restaurant is preferred.
- A high school diploma is desired, but not required.
