(HWC) is a specialty services provider to the construction industry, specializing in safe, high production utility rock trenching, horizontal directional drilling, cable plowing, and other specialty excavation services. POSITION: Rock Saw/Trenching OPERATOR
- REQUIRED: Multiple years’ experience and very proficient + knowledgeable in all aspects of rock trenching operations. Hodge Western Corp runs Tesmec and Vermeer trenchers; familiarity with these machines is required. Knowledge of GPS machine control is also preferred.
- Strength in equipment repairs and maintenance as well as the ability to fabricate and perform structural ARC welding and occasional MIG welding as needed..
- Ability to lift up to 90LBS independently.
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills for managing trenching field operations and personnel.
- Professional, proactive, and solution focused. Each member of our company works together as a team, regularly communicating with and helping one another to achieve safe and superior results for our customers.
- Travel is a key component and requirement of the position. We currently have work in ID, TX, UT, OK, AR.
Responsibilities
- Daily start-up procedures of trencher and ability to keep the machine running
- Daily maintenance of machine including greasing, cleaning of filters, changing teeth, welding/hard facing, fueling and cleaning machine
- Communicate any damage or maintenance needs to supervisor
- Maintain and ensure consistent and accurate field reporting including daily reports, extra work orders, safety logs, and incident reports. Be able to identify and track additional work beyond scope
- Conduct self that represents the company in a safe and professional manner
- Ability to work 8-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.

Compensation Package:
- $40/hour
- $100 per day Per diem
