Advanced Veterinary Medical Center is urgently hiring a Receptionist (CSR).
We are high-paced, multi-doctor practice that is open 7 days a week. With 1-2 doctors on staff a day, we are seeking a driven, reliable, detail-oriented and well-versed individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist (CSR). We serve our surrounding communities as a full-service veterinarian. We proudly provide high quality care and medicine to our patients and are looking to grow our team! Our team provides wellness & preventative care, urgent care, digital full body & dental radiography, dental prophylaxis, complete in-house laboratory, soft tissue & orthopedic surgeries, and more. This is an mid-level position, experience is required. (eventually expanding hours, weekend hours will be required)
Veterinary CSRs play an integral role in our hospital whether they are handling phone calls, taking care of clients, or scheduling appointments. You will fully utilize your skillset and continue developing your knowledge for years! We are looking for a compassionate candidate who is ready to put their skills and leadership ability to work!

STANDARD EXPECTATIONS:
- Uphold ethics and emphasis on sanitation and sterile technique.
- Exhibits a pleasant, positive, and enthusiastic persona.
- Ability to escalate feedback to management rather than partake in workplace gossip.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
- Ability to efficiently multitask in high-stress environments (i.e: high telephone volume, emergencies, and euthanasia).
- Maintain telephone traffic and appointment scheduled promptly.
- Maintain proper paperwork and medical records as required by law.
- Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e: Windows, Gmail, and Google Drive).
- Efficiently execute all steps of AVMC's standard operating procedures
CLINICAL EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE but are not limited to:
- Greet clients in a timely manner
- Room patients according to the hospital's appointment schedule
- Ability to remain calm, collected, and professional in a high stress environment.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and multitask
- Answer and address client phone calls and be able to handle multiple lines
- Provide humane care every patient.
- Re-stock supplies and upkeep the reception area and exam rooms.
- Ensure that each animal receives the proper vaccinations.
Medical care: Be able to interpret and communicate medical history. Be able to assess critical vs. non-critical client concerns in scheduling and triaging patients.
Client education and communication: Educate clients regarding medical treatments to be administered and procedures performed, preventative medicine such as flea/tick/heartworm prevention and vaccination. Be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with concerned clients despite high-stress situations.
Record keeping: Write patient medical history; review and maintain accurate patient records in our computer database; maintain patient confidentiality.
Clinic maintenance and upkeep: Ensure cleanliness of all hospital areas including cleaning and disinfecting work spaces as needed.
Client education and communication: Educate clients regarding medical treatments to be administered and procedures performed, preventative medicine such as flea/tick/heartworm prevention and vaccination. Be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with concerned clients despite high-stress situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Veterinary experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with IDEXX Neo is highly preferred.
- Willing to train the right individual that is eager to learn.
