Job Summary
The Experienced Parts Department Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers of Steve Moyer Subaru. The Parts Department Associate is responsible for handling the sale of automotive parts and services for all types of repair needs. The Parts Department Associate must possess a deep understanding of the products that the store has to offer, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for this position should have an outgoing and friendly personality and have a great customer service attitude.
Compensation & Benefits
This position is a full-time Hourly job located in Leesport, Pennsylvania. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits package includes health and dental insurance, paid time off and vacation days, and 401(k) plan. Weekend and holiday hours vary.
Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers
• Process customer orders, answer customer inquiries, and explain proper parts/service procedures
• Act as a liaison between customers, store associates, store technicians, and management
• Identify customer needs, explain product features, and suggest other automotive services
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, parts, and services
• Oversee the parts department shelves, making sure that parts and goods are organized and easily accessible
• Perform accurate inventory control by identifying, recording, and shipping parts
• Control parts orders and deliveries
• Maintain the parts department area in a clean, safe, and organized condition
• Assist with the reconciliation of inventory
• Maintain accurate paperwork, ensuring that it is stored properly and filed in a timely manner
• Assist with troubleshooting customer issues
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year experience in an automotive parts environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service oriented attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, use basic mathematical skills, and understand customer service
• Familiarity with computers and associated programs
• Knowledge of automotive parts and equipment
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
