About the Job
We are in need of a Branch Manager! The candidate for this position needs to have a background in Heavy Equipment with a focus on dealer management and equipment rentals. This candidate plans, organizes, and directs all control activities including the receiving, storage, issuing, and inventorying of all materials, supplies, tools, and heavy equipment. Ensures company specifications and standards are adhered to. Development and Implementation of purchase orders, inventory, and identification systems. This person needs to exemplify the management of a dealership crew and being able to handle the tasks of multiple departments.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus on detail.
- Directing all operational aspects including distribution, customer service, human resources, administration, and equipment sales.
- To develop key strategies for the branch and develop short- and long-term vision.
- Responsible for the management of crew with equipment maintenance and orderly appearance of the yard and the updated materials and parts, and the schedule and arrangement of equipment moves.
- Monitors actual costs versus budget costs.
- Implement company objectives and strategies to maintain an effective equipment program including procurement, distribution, and maintenance.
- Act as a technical advisor to the executive team and field staff, and accounting with final equipment budgets and rates for existing and potentially purchased equipment.
- Maintain files of records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts.
- Performs and oversees repairs of company owned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Provides support to field operations with vehicle and equipment requests and documenting all vehicle, equipment, and tool repairs and maintain accurate inventory asset lists.
- Ensures equipment is insured, registered, and otherwise brought into compliance with City, State, and Federal regulations.
- Maintain shop and remote corporate yard effectively eliminating any hazardous working conditions.
- File and maintain building permits and provide transportation of equipment, tools, and material to and from remote job sites and corporate yards.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Background in Heavy Equipment, Heavy Equipment Dealerships and Rentals.
- Professional work demeanor.
- Good negotiation skills for pricing of equipment.
- Understands the value of a quality control plan and how to implement and maintain one with great organizational skills.
- Heavy equipment mechanic skills with a basic knowledge of construction and parts/equipment purchasing.
- Basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors, and employees in one-on-one situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
