Title: Experienced Environmental Manager
Location: Foreman, AR
Job-Type: FTE/Permanent
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Evaluates site environmental performance, identifies corrective actions through audits, and implements follow-up assessments.
• Serves as the corporate contact with regulatory and community stakeholders relating to environmental matters and supports individual sites on these matters.
• Participates in projects involving environmental issues including contact with regulatory agencies, and accompanies inspectors during inspections.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental permits and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
• Assists regulatory agencies by providing information and assistance.
• Completes, administers, and assists in the preparation of various air quality reports/renewals.
• Contracts with training consultants and purchases cost-effectively training media.
• Coordinates and supervises stack testing activities and reviews/approves all stack testing reports.
• Completes, administers, and assists with various surveys and questionnaires from internal and external sources.
• Performs audits of the monitoring systems including data acquisition systems, and maintain/administer changes.
• Works with Waste Fuels Manager to provide daily coverage of essential daily functions.
• Coordinates all training efforts and goals with the Waste Fuels Manager and Manager of Environmental Affairs.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications for plant environmental compliance, including but not limited to Licensed Wastewater Facility Operators, and Certified Operator in accordance with APC&EC Regulation No. 23, section 264.16(f), etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering or related environmental management field required
• 7 years of experience in environmental field is required
• 7 years of experience in cement, mining, or related industry preferred
• 7 years of experience in working with regulatory agencies preferred

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Ability to lead/manage others
• Excellent organizational skills including ability to plan
• Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills
• Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of environmental programs, policies and practices applicable to a cement manufacturing environment.
