Dentistry of the Carolinas - Gastonia is currently in search of a skilled Dental Assistant with a minimum of one year of practical experience (please note that job shadowing and internships do not qualify as work experience). The ideal candidate will possess a Dental Assisting certification and meet several key qualifications.
Our preferred candidate:
- Is well-versed in four-handed dentistry, demonstrating the ability to anticipate the doctor's needs.
- Adheres to all regulations, protocols, and procedures, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of dental instruments and terminology.
- Will be proficient in executing lab procedures accurately, maintaining and caring for equipment, and ensuring a positive rapport with both patients and teammates.
- Must have effective time management skills that are crucial for directing patient flow, and the ability to multitask is highly valued.
- Must maintain a positive attitude, be willing to assist others, and attend to patient needs for an overall pleasant treatment experience.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must possess a current CPR certification, X-Ray certification, and a record of updated vaccinations. Experience with Dentrix or comparable software, as well as digital radiography, is preferred. PPE provided includes disposable gowns, level 3 and N95 masks, face shields, and sneeze guards.
While we celebrate individuality, it's important to note that visible body tattoos, facial piercings, and abnormally colored hair (e.g., blue, pink, purple) do not adhere to our company policy.
