Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to oversee all aspects of our bar operations. The ideal candidate will bring a creative flair, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the beverage industry.
Job duties
- Bar Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Develop and implement effective bar procedures, protocols, and standards.
- Beverage Selection and Ordering:
- Curate an innovative and appealing beverage menu in collaboration with the management team.
- Manage inventory and supplier relationships to ensure a well-stocked and diverse selection.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Create staff schedules and manage labor costs while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Customer
Experience:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service.
- Handle customer feedback and address any issues promptly and professionally.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for drink preparation, presentation, and service.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area.
- Marketing and Promotions:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional events and campaigns.
- Drive initiatives to increase bar sales and attract new customers.
- Compliance and Licensing:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Manage and renew licenses as required.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the bar budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve financial goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
*Other tasks may be needed as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of local liquor laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- TABC Certification is required.
- Manager Food Handler certification is required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
