COMPENSATION:
$28/Hour for Candidates with 1-2 Year of Hands on Experience
$31/Hour for Candidates with 2-4 Years of Hands on Experience
$35+/Hour for Candidates with 5 or More Years of Hands on Experience

SCHEDULE:
Full-time / Four 10s Monday - Thursday 7:00 am PST - 5:30 pm PST
40 hours per week - FRIDAYS OFF
LOCATION: PORTLAND, OREGON (Portland Metro)
Onsite, In-Person, Work-from-Work Position
Must Have Your Own Hand Tools and Belt and Transportation. ALL OTHER TOOLS PROVIDED
Founded in 2013, Rupp Family Builders is a woman-owned, family-run and operated residential construction operation, specializing in six-week kitchen remodels and four-week bathroom remodels. Full renovations and Specialty Custom Homes.

Each carpenter brings a skill set and perspective that helps us serve our customers better, but they don't work alone! 80% of our trades are IN-HOUSE!
- We have plumbers, electricians, and cabinetry specialists at the ready on our team, so projects can be completed in a timely and efficient manner without sacrificing quality.
We also stand out from traditional general contractors because WE ARE NOT A BANK! We handle our cash flow proactively by requiring an initial 20% deposit for each project and dishing out progress billing every two weeks. We've created this system so our staff can focus on their jobs without any unnecessary distractions.

Key Responsibilities
- Thoughtfully think through your assigned job tasks each day and plan your steps to complete it efficiently (Least steps to and from the work area and the staging area) so you are contributing to getting the job done on or ahead of schedule.
Success Metrics: Complete 75% of your assigned tasks within the communicated time frames. Prepare and submit daily logs each day to track progress. 25% or less of your assigned tasks overrun the projected time frames in a 90-day rolling period. - Maintain and work through a daily active punch list for each task. Proactively communicate and coordinate with supervisors/project coordinator about progress. Notify supervisors/project coordinator of change orders, and material needs so that work is not delayed
Success Metric: Zero fire drills
- Track tasks expenses (labor and materials) with entry into BuilderTrend so that your work can be costed accurately.
Success Metric: 100% of tasks completed when totaled budgeted versus actual are all within budget for the tasks completed in the prior 6-month rolling period. - Keep the job site organized, tidy, and ready for work the next day.
Success Metric: No more than one homeowner call or complaint regarding the acceptable cleanliness and organization of the project area in a rolling 3-month period. - 5-Star homeowner review
Success Metric: Keep emergency call backs from the homeowner to less than 3 in a 12-month rolling period.
Ideal Characteristics:
- 3 years' experience working on construction projects that have an average budget of $40,000 - $100,000 per project
- Detail oriented
- Organized and great at writing things down
- Has a plan to create a plan
- OCD and does not like to work in a mess
- Prefers proactive planning to reactive chaos
- Excited to work with people you can call family
