About the Job
Be part Sereia, an exciting new venture by 2 Michelin-starred Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa of Portugal as he brings his culinary vision to Miami’s vibrant Coconut Grove neighborhood. Daily kitchen operations will be overseen by Michelin-star trained local Chef Miguel Massens.

Job duties
- Organize the food as per the orders to ensure quality and accuracy
- Facilitates the communication between the kitchen and service staff
- Ensure food is expedited to tables and served in a timely and correct manner
- Verifies food orders, special preparations, allergies, and dietary restrictions
- Notifies and organizes runners when to pick up and take out food
- Ensure proper set up of the expedition station at the beginning of every service
- Prepare and place garnishes on the appropriate food items
- Have a deep knowledge of food preparations and plate presentations
- Delegate tasks to and train new runners
Qualifications
- Previous Experience in a high-volume restaurant in the front or back of house
- Michelin-level or equivalent experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem Solving—Must be able to identify problems and quickly provide sensible, effective solutions
- Physical Dexterity—Handle and manipulate moving objects in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism—Ability to comply with policy and procedure and behave in an ethical manner
- Show initiative and develop new ideas to advance the restaurant’s operations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain attention to detail within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Physical
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting as required
- Ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour work day
- Ability to handle and manipulate objects with hands, including, grasping, turning, holding, and fine manipulation
Salary
$20.0 - $25.0 / Hourly
