In this Expanded Functions Dental Assistant opportunity, you will support the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring and professional demeanor, ability to start within a month and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule (days/hours):M-Wed 8-5 1-sat a monthResponsibilities:

 

• Perform expanded functions as allowed by state regulations, such as placing and finishing restorations, taking impressions, and applying sealants.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and the treatment area.
• Take digital X-rays accurately and intraoral photos. 
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment notes and radiographs.
• Ensure the sterilization and cleanliness of dental equipment and patient care areas.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling and patient check-in.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and reorder as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort and manage patient anxiety during procedures.
• Stay current on new techniques and best practices in dental care through continuing education and training.

Qualifications:

• EFDA in the state of Ohio
• Ohio Xray certification
