Overview:
Kidsmile is looking for a FUN and energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant that has a desire to grow with our pediatric dental practices. Candidates must be professional, outgoing, well-organized, reliable, team-oriented and must absolutely love working with kids!

Pay Range: $22 - $28 per hour
Office Hours:
- Monday: 8am - 4pm
- Tuesday to Thursday: 7am to 2pm
You will be responsible for the following:
- Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
- Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable - before, during, and after their appointment - about their treatment and oral health.
- Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
- Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment.
- Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.
- Document dental care services by charting in patients’ records.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).
You will be required to possess the following:
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification required.
- Six (6) or more months of practical experience as a dental assistant.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (Preferred).
- Quick learner with problem solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records,
scheduling, etc. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
- Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
