Flagship Restaurant Group is currently looking for an Executive Sous Chef to join our restaurant team
at Palma in Downtown Phoenix.
The Executive Sous Chef, working directly with the Executive Chef, is responsible for managing daily BOH operations while striving to create a comfortable and professional atmosphere for employees and exceptional experiences for our guests through outstanding teamwork.
Compensation + Benefits:
$70,000 - $75,000 annual salary, depending on experience

An ideal candidate:
- Has an extensive knowledge in culinary arts and a strong passion for epicurean excellence.
- Possesses self-discipline, initiative, and has a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Has an advanced understanding of business operations, scheduling, financials, food costs, and inventory control systems.
- Performs calmly and effectively and must be able to handle the pressures of a fast-paced work environment, while always maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating proficiency in culinary techniques, knife skills, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation.
- Leadership Skills: Displays a proven ability to lead kitchen staff effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work atmosphere while ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Organization: Possesses exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize orders, and ensure timely preparation.
- Communication: Exhibits excellent communication skills with team members, and management, ensuring smooth coordination.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Displays strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Attention to Detail: Possesses keen attention to detail in plating, garnishing, and food presentation, upholding the aesthetic and quality of all dishes.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work together with team members across various roles, that contribute to a smooth dining experience for our guests.
