Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in administrative support roles preferred
- Familiarity with office administration and management
- Experience managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling confidential matters
Job Duties:
- Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and handling information requests.
- Perform clerical functions such as receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
- Manage an active calendar of appointments and complete expense reports.
- Compose and prepare correspondence regarding sensitive and confidential matters.
- Coordinate technology needs for Executive staff.
- Act as Justice Center Management's personal representative in dealing with the public and in routine contact with other State executives.
- Take notes, compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, correspondence, and reports.
- Assist in the execution of special projects/initiatives and perform routine administrative functions as directed.
- Assist Justice Center staff with maintaining fleet vehicles by driving cars for oil changes, tire rotations, etc. (minimal part of duties).
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint), Adobe Pro, and Outlook
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize the Justice Center database program
- Valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive fleet vehicles for maintenance (minimal part of duties)
Misc. Information:
- Full-time position with current hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm ET, with the possibility of adjustment if necessary.
- Overtime may be required.
- The position is expected to be in-person at the Delmar office of the Justice Center, with free parking provided.
- Fleet maintenance tasks (such as driving cars for oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) are secondary and minimal parts of the job duties.
- Interview will take place In Person or Online based on the availability.
- Training will be provided to the candidate.
