Hiring Project Manager (Tekla) is a managerial role for commercial construction projects based out of the Phoenix/Tempe, AZ.
The role will focus on job oversight and guidance of the project management team, customer relations, workload forecasting, and day-to-day project management of high-profile or fast-track projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop project management strategy and execution plans for high-profile or fast-track projects. Be the designated Project Manager on these projects with assistance from Phoenix/Tempe PM team when required.
Day-to-day management of project managers in the Phoenix/Tempe Office. Build a high-performing project management team by developing all employees to their fullest potential and establishing career progression opportunities within the division and/or organization.
Conduct performance reviews to ensure team is operating efficiently and achieving performance objectives/goals.
Ensure that the entire PM team is capable of executing the identification and appropriate financial recovery of all scope/design changes on the projects they are managing.
Assist PMs worldwide by providing on-site support at meetings for North American projects on an as-needed basis.
Collaborate with Business Manager and General Manager to develop and implement effective growth strategies and processes.
Create a safe and positive work environment by continuously communicating and resolving issues.
Establish clear metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus on division priorities.

Modeling and Detailing Acumen – Thorough knowledge of the steel detailing process; knowledgeable in construction modeling technology, (Tekla, Autodesk products, Bluebeam).

Work Experience:
Fifteen (15) years related experience in steel fabrication/ modelling. Ten (10) years related experience in Project Management/ Coordination Education/Training Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or extensive industry experience combined with training certification in the field of steel fabrication, steel detailing or construction technology.
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses As outlined in the Core Competencies, an individual must have thorough knowledge and an advanced understanding of each competency outlined above to carry out the essential functions of this position.
Software & Technology Completion of training or a certificate in 3D modelling software, for example Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Rhino, etc
