About the Role:
Busy Oakland-based CEO is seeking a Personal Assistant. The ideal Personal Assistant works in a thoughtful, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. The Personal Assistant must be able to juggle multiple projects, work independently, and think proactively. This hybrid part-time role will change depending on the week's needs, roughly 16 hours a week. Minimum 1 day a week onsite at the CEO’s house in Orinda, CA, and a second day either running errands, at the CEO’s home, or in the office in downtown Oakland.
Compensation: $20 - 30/hr (based on experience)
You Will:
Personal Assistant
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and build trust with the CEO’s family and other staff
- Help with personal tasks and errands such as shopping, package returns, etc.
- Research information for planning and purchases
- Manage the overall maintenance and organization of the home and cars.
- Coordinate with contractors and maintenance personnel for necessary services and repairs.
- Work in conjunction with the family nanny and CEO’s executive assistant
- Facilitate positive & healthy habits to improve work-life balance
- Answer phone calls, take messages, schedule appointments, manage family calendar
- Assistance with personal travel planning & packing
- Plan family travel, including flights, accommodation, and ground transportation
- Provide concierge service to the CEO and their family
- Manage social events and personal appointments
You Have:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a related role
- Prior experience in a Personal Assistant role
- Superior organizational/multitasking skills and meticulous attention to detail
- High personal standards of integrity, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
- Positive attitude that no task is too small to handle
- Strategic foresight, anticipating needs, and taking appropriate actions
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality with discretion
- High level of acceptance and maintains a calm, nonreactive presence
- A car, valid driver's license, and live in the East Bay
