About the Job
Our client, a premier luxury resort known for its vibrant atmosphere and unforgettable guest experiences, is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to join their Food and Beverage leadership team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort’s pastry division, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional. You will play a critical role in fostering teamwork, achieving financial goals, and maintaining the highest culinary standards in collaboration with the broader Food and Beverage leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Memorable Guest Experiences: Provide unparalleled guest service, exceeding expectations and creating lasting memories.
- Lead Culinary Operations: Manage daily pastry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timeliness.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the Resort Executive Chef and VP of Food and Beverage to promote teamwork and ensure cohesive operations.
- Financial Oversight: Meet and exceed budgetary goals by optimizing kitchen expenses and enhancing profitability.
- Team Mentorship: Act as a mentor and coach, building strong, positive relationships with culinary staff while fostering an engaging work environment.
- Compliance and Standards: Uphold Forbes Five-Star standards, ensuring safety, sanitation, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Creative Innovation: Continuously develop new menu items that reflect culinary trends and elevate the guest experience.
- Hands-On Leadership: Be actively involved in culinary production, assisting as needed during peak times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in culinary leadership, with 5-6 years of pastry management experience.
- Background in Forbes Four or Five-Star establishments is preferred.
- Relevant culinary certifications and strong technical skills, including knife proficiency and advanced cooking techniques.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant technology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.
