Position Summary:
An experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper is needed to oversee the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of two large apartments in New York City and a private home in Larchmont, NY, for a private family. This role requires flexibility, exceptional organizational skills, and hands-on support in all aspects of household care, including working collaboratively with other household staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Executive Housekeeper to join a private household, bringing a proactive, meticulous approach to ensure the family’s residences are consistently maintained to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
1. NYC Residences (4 Days Per Week)
- Main Apartment: Responsible for the daily upkeep and organization of a 4-bedroom apartment for the principals. This will be the primary location, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Second Apartment: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the son’s smaller apartment, including all cleaning duties and maintaining a pet-friendly environment for the resident cat. Regular visits at least 1 day per week.
- Detailed Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis for both apartments, including windows, floors, high-touch surfaces, and delicate items.
- Laundry & Linen Management: Launder, iron, and manage household linens with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring they are well-kept and stored appropriately.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and replenish household supplies, cleaning products, and other essentials for both apartments, ensuring they are stocked and organized.
2. Larchmont Residence (1 Day Per Week)
- Collaboration with Housekeeper: Work alongside the full-time housekeeper to ensure consistent care and standards of cleanliness.
- Oversight and Inspection: Perform inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained, addressing any areas that may require attention.
- Supply Coordination: Assist with coordinating and managing household supplies and inventory specific to the Larchmont residence.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Executive Housekeeper role for private families or high-end residences.
- References: Strong references required from previous employers verifying work quality, reliability, and integrity.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain pristine cleanliness and organization, with a focus on detail in luxury settings.
- Team Player: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to collaborate with other household staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Hands-On Approach: Comfortable with performing all aspects of cleaning and maintenance as needed.
- Pet-Friendly: Ability to care for the resident cat in the son's apartment, with knowledge of maintaining a clean and safe pet environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel once a week to the family’s home in Larchmont, NY, and adapt to the family’s schedule and needs.
- Travel: Reliable transportation or willingness to commute to Larchmont, NY, one day per week.
- Discretion: High level of professionalism and confidentiality required to work within a private family setting.
