Executive Housekeeper
Family Estate in the Palm Beach area
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a neat and clean appearance of the interior of the home at all times. Employee will be primarily responsible for all laundry, steaming, ironing, and cleaning main house and other interior spaces. Cleaning shall include:
- Collecting laundry from hampers every day. All laundry must be separated and washed as needed and as recommended by the manufacturer, including machine washing at proper temperature, hand washing delicate items, spot treating as necessary, and steam cleaning as needed. All laundry must be folded, hung, and/or ironed/steamed as necessary and put away.
- Making beds each day. Changing linens as necessary. All bed linens must be ironed before use.
- Vacuuming as necessary.
- Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors as necessary. Clean baseboards.
- Dusting all furniture, moldings, and light fixtures as necessary. o Washing and disinfecting bathrooms and powder rooms as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and neat appearance in the kitchen by washing pots, pans, and dishes; loading, running, and unloading dishwasher; cleaning kitchen counters as necessary.
- Cleaning refrigerator, windows, and fingerprints on walls/windows, etc. as needed.
- Polishing the silver as necessary.
- Other general housekeeping duties as instructed from time to time by Employer.
Other responsibilities:
- Maintain a list of cleaning/household supplies that require replacement.
- Notify the Estate Manager of wear and tear on household, gate house, and pool house items, including any maintenance issues such as replacing light bulbs, noting water leaks, windows that do not seal, cracks/other damage to walls and floors, etc.
Qualifications:
- Career, experienced executive housekeeper with expertise in caring for fine furnishings and interior appointments with guidance from the homeowner
- Proficient in the written and oral communication of the English language
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Poised and polished with a professional mindset
- Superior judgment with confidential materials
- Exceptional time management skills
- Must know how to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs
- Ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly
- Availability to support family needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a comprehensive background check
This is a full-time position and employee is entitled to employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance and 401(k) with company match after 3 full months of employment.
