A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
- You will have Housekeeping Supervisors to support the daily housekeeping function that will repeat directly to you. They will personally supervise the work activities of the Guest Room Attendants and Hotel Housemen personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and pristine rooms and guest experience areas throughout the hotel. Inspects rooms and common areas, including grounds and exterior common areas, for cleanliness. You will also be supported by Quality Control Inspectors and a dedicated Dispatcher/Administrator.
- You will be responsible for overseeing your team. You will assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
- Perform inventories to ensure proper par levels are consistently maintained.
- Screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend/perform dismissals. Provides open communications, coaching and counseling to provide performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency while promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets at minimal expenses.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and team building skills with all associates, peers and across departments.
What are we looking for?
- One to two years of post-high school education is preferred.
- Previous work experience as an Assistant or Executive Housekeeping Manager or similar role
- Working knowledge of computers
- Possess a good command of the English language (bi-lingual is a plus) and ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests
- Thorough knowledge of hotel services, positive track record of quality housekeeping management excellence
- Must have professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills.
- Customer Service: Sets the tone with team members that 5-Star Customer Service is the standard that we are to always attain. Responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance. Respond to special requests from guests.
- Team Work: Treats people with respect. Keeps commitments. Upholds organizational values. Manages completion of preventative cleaning programs as assigned.
