Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Executive Director of Research for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Lexington, KY.

Responsibilities :
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with university stakeholders, including government, business, and industry leaders, as well as faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
- Promoting interdisciplinary research and economic development.
- Affirming the integrity of all research processes, policies, and compliance standards.
- Establishing regional, national, and international research partnerships and ventures.
- Coordinating activities that foster broader participation in innovative research and scholarly pursuits.
- Representing the university in national and international discussions on research policy.
- Developing a strategic research vision that prioritizes and energizes emerging opportunities.
- Supervising faculty and staff under the Office of Research, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Exceptional leadership and communication capabilities, with a proven track record in managing large teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of research administration, compliance, and funding mechanisms.
- Strong analytical skills and adeptness at process improvement and problem-solving in high-pressure environments
- MBA, MPH, or related degree with substantial experience managing large research portfolios.
- Expertise in academic research administration within land-grant institutions.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree and certification in research administration, with 10+ years of experience in a central research office setting.
