Diversity is seeking an Executive Director of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services.

The Executive Director of IDD Services is a community leader who collaborates with other professionals to address the pressing needs of individuals with IDD. You will work with a talented and committed staff to continue the growth and evolution of Diversity's IDD services.

The management team is diligently working towards goals that address issues common to the sector, such as compliance with regulations, program expansion, and strengthening organizational infrastructure to enable future growth.
Executive Director of IDD Services Responsibilities
- Leadership: The Executive Director is responsible for the overall culture and operations of the IDD services. They will be a hands-on, visible, and collaborative leader who actively engages with both internal teams and external partners.
- Program Management: The Executive Director oversees program development, expansion, and quality assurance. They must assess programmatic issues and develop comprehensive solutions to maintain high quality programs.
- Financial Management: The Executive Director is responsible for developing and reviewing budgets, cooperating with fiscal processes, and providing technical assistance with budget development and ongoing monitoring of revenue and expenses.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: The Executive Director engages with community agencies, businesses, and other stakeholders. This provides a unique platform for collaboration, advocacy, and leading initiatives that align with broader community development goals.
- Compliance: The Executive Director ensures that programs and services are compliant with federal and state regulations and payer requirements.
- Staff Development: Ensures the development and provision of appropriate orientation, on-the-job training, and ongoing performance management for program staff in cooperation with the mentor program and employee services.
- Quality Assurance: In partnership with the Director of Quality Assurance and Risk, develops quality assurance plans and outcomes consistent with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Community Representation: Attends local, regional, and state program-related meetings. Maintains liaison relationships with community agencies and businesses.
- Innovation: Stays current on best practices and recommends areas of service expansion to executive leadership.
Director of IDD Services Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be passionate about Diversity's mission. The following qualifications are important:
- Bachelor's Degree with five years of related experience in senior leadership, administrative and supervisory roles in human services; master's degree preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of people.
- Understanding of and direct experience with IDD services and related funding and regulations.
- Business acumen leading to sound decision-making.
- Experience in working with a leadership team.
- Knowledge of funding sources and entitlement programs for people with disabilities.
- Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities.
- Confident with public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media platforms.
- Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience at the senior management level.
- Knowledge of collection and interpretation of program-related statistics.
- Knowledge of the theory and principles of effective management and leadership.
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products.
- Ability to pass criminal background checks, valid VA driver's license with acceptable driving record, TB Screening, and ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and 32-hour medication administration certification.
Location
This position is an on-site position with visibility expected in Diversity's internal and external community. Some local travel is required.
Annual salary: $125K to 150K depending on experience. A relocation assistance may be offered for those living out of the area.
