Position Overview
Be a part of a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding in the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of all programs, services, and operations at the site.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate trends in needs and gaps and develop programs to meet those needs
- Set annual goals and objectives and manage accomplishing those goals in a manner to successfully serve the veterans
- Ensure a therapeutic milieu in accordance with the organization mission and philosophy
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to successfully deliver services to veteran clients and their families
- Develop and maintain relationships with elected government officials, federal and local to advocate veteran needs and service opportunities
- Supervise site Clinical and Program Team and delivery of services within all programs
- Collaborate with the organizations Clinical and Program departments and ensure forms, policies, trainings, and client programming models are implemented and maintained
- Oversee the maintenance of overall organizational integrity and compliance with all federal and other regulations
- Ensure internal audits and reviews of documentation and protocols are conducted
- Collaborate with organizations Fiscal and Accounting departments and oversee fiscal management and budget tracking
- Collaborate with organizations Human Resources and Payroll departments and oversee employee recruitment, training, retention, performance evaluations, and time tracking
- Oversee site fundraising, communications, and community development
- Oversee housing development planning and implementation
- Supervise and provide oversight for facility maintenance and leasing
- -Facilitate regular meetings with site staff and monitors site, program, grant, and financial goals and objectives to report to COO and National Office
- Participate in weekly Conference Calls facilitated by National Office designee
- Represent the organization as part of the projects' Developer team and plan and implement campus services and operations
- Implement and manage contracts/grants to ensure deliverables for services, programs, and operations
- Participate in VA Services Council Meetings and coordinates partner's services for the campuses
- Provide oversight of any subcontractor or partner agreement, scope of work, and performance deliverables
- Ensure all site inventory is properly procured, received, documented, and accurately maintained to include oversight of company-owned vehicles and adequate emergency food and supplies
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field required
- 4+ years' experience in program management, staff supervision, program development, and budget management as related to programs
- Excellent time management, leadership, and conflict management skills
- Experience working with veterans, homeless individuals, disabled individuals, and/or families in need and culturally diverse populations
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of individuals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to include public speaking
- Demonstrated personal and financial integrity in the workplace and a strong work ethic
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Travel percentage up to 25%
- Position will initially be titled Program Director until employee meets the training requirements for Executive Director which is typically 3 to 9 months
Compensation
- Salary: $97,335-$125,000
