Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
Position Overview:
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Executive Director to oversee its hospice branch in Danville, VA. This role includes comprehensive leadership of patient care, compliance management, quality assurance, and team development. The ideal candidate is an RN with hospice management experience, although other licensed healthcare leaders with substantial hospice experience are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure agency operations comply with Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant healthcare regulations, laws, and policies.
- Leadership & Team Development: Oversee patient care and team activities, fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance to maintain quality, cost-effective patient care, and manage budgetary resources.
- Care Management Oversight: Direct the care management process, including patient intake, referral management, paperwork reviews, and discharge, with support from a Patient Care Manager or designee.
- Quality Assurance: Engage in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, including chart audits, patient satisfaction tracking, incident management, and improvement planning.
Qualifications:
- Education & Licensing: Must be licensed as a physician, RN, or social worker, or hold a Bachelor's degree with three years of documented success in a related field and a minimum of one year of hospice or home health experience.
- Preferred Experience: Three years of leadership experience within a hospice or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification is required for those providing direct patient care.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle or public transportation.
