Position Summary: The Executive Director of Edge Solution Sales is a high-impact Area Sales Leader tasked with creating and implementing the strategic vision for delivering complex, customized solutions that drive business growth. Responsible for overseeing the Edge solution sales team, you will ensure that your team is a high-performing group with expertise in the retail edge that will deliver on our strategic growth initiatives. Your role involves hiring and coaching a world class team of sales SME’s, fostering and maintaining strategic relationships, guiding product development through client feedback, and aligning cross-functional efforts to ensure the realization of strategic sales goals. As an executive leader, you will report directly to senior management, providing key insights and driving the organization’s sales success and competitive positioning in the industry.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
·Establish and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for Retail Edge solution sales across the Americas that aligns with overall corporate objectives and growth targets.
· Hiring, leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Edge sales specialists to achieve substantial business growth, ensuring they have the tools, resources and training to be achieve goals.
· Lead negotiations for the most strategic deals, including contract terms, pricing and non-standard requirements, and leaning into deals to help close.
· Cultivate strategic relationships with clients, industry leaders, and internally, collaborating across departments to align product offerings with market demands.
· Stay ahead of industry trends, identify new business opportunities, and serve as an ambassador for the company in client and industry settings.
· Drive sales reporting, funnel management and accurate sales forecasting principles with weekly reporting to senior management.
· Provide ongoing enablement of field sales concerning software updates, industry trends, value selling and buying models.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of 12 years of experience in solution sales or senior sales roles, preferably in retail with a focus on Edge Computing or adjacent technologies (virtualization, containers, cloud computing, etc.)
· Extensive leadership and people management skills, with experience building and managing high-performing sales teams.
· Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles, build relationships with C-level executives, and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
· Willingness to travel frequently in the defined region for both client and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
· Keen understanding of the containerization and virtualization market, preferably a deep understanding of Edge computing in retail settings.
· Proven experience in SaaS and leading solution-based sales initiatives.
· In-depth knowledge of industry trends and forecasting techniques.
· Strong network within the industry and high-level engagement experience.
· Ability to develop and drive strategic partnerships and alliances.
· Expertise in presenting and selling technical products to diverse audiences.
· Demonstrable success in running sales campaigns into the retail market.
