At the Brain Injury Association of America, we're looking for an ambitious and attentive leader to further our nonprofit as our full-time Executive Director!
Based in the Wilmington or Dover metro area, our Executive Director oversees and effectively guides our operations throughout the state of Delaware. This is a remote position with some limited travel.

YOUR IMPACT
Standard working hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
As our remote Executive Director, you foster and manage relationships throughout Delaware to drive growth and improve how we serve the brain injury community. You're responsible for establishing strategic relationships and developing an effective business plan that enhances how we help others while increasing revenue. Creating a shared vision, you recruit and engage volunteers to drive our initiatives forward and promote community growth. You also lead advocacy efforts at the state level, working with stakeholders to increase awareness and inspire positive change.
It's crucial that our nonprofit meets all annual revenue goals and that you promote our various programs, products, and services to the Academy of Brain Injury Specialists to achieve these goals. You attend webinars, participate in conferences, and negotiate partnership deals to meet corporate fundraising targets. This is a highly collaborative role where you work with colleagues, volunteers, and senior management to identify new business opportunities and meet our nonprofit's objectives. Your advocacy efforts make a world of difference for brain injury survivors and caregivers!
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7+ years of experience with nonprofit relationship management, programs, community development, or fundraising
- 5+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to small and large groups
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies, particularly in promoting intangible programs and services
- Ability to consult and interact with corporate leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
