Overview of the Executive Coordinator / Accounting Assistant role:
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, expense tracking, and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support all communications and activities related to the Board of Directors and board committees.
- Coordinate the executive’s workflow and priorities by knowing their highest priorities, managing their schedules, thinking steps ahead and keeping them focused on the most important projects.
- Manage calendars, correspondence, and files, conduct research on people and organizations, arrange meetings, compile data and materials for meetings, and process
- Coordinate meetings for the Executive Director with board members, elected officials, and community arts leaders which entails interfacing with stakeholders, elected officials, and other community leaders and serving as an advocate for the organization.
- Respond to Board members’ and other leaders’ requests
Preferred Qualifications for the Executive Coordinator/ Accounting Assistant:
- Ability to complete and audit records for accuracy with attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, a multi-tasker able to juggle multiple interruptions in a busy environment
- Time management skills, able to prioritize competing deadlines
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion
- Professional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive and self-directed
