Executive Chef - ISSA Group Management

We are searching for an experienced Executive Chef for a locally owned fine dining restaurant.

Ideally, the Chef will have previous experience in a leadership role within the kitchen, designing menus and creating new dishes, as well as managing stock and dealing with situations that may arise in the kitchen that call for leadership. The position requires at least 5 years of experience with food preparation, perhaps as a Line Cook or a Sous Chef. It’s also helpful to have food management experiences having worked as a Restaurant Manager or Kitchen Manager. The primary focus of the Chef is the restaurant’s kitchen; however, there can be some coordination with the restaurant manager, particularly when new employees are being hired or financial budgets are being set with the owner.

• Excellent knowledge of culinary ingredients and practices
• Technical cooking skills
• Creative skills
• Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate, encourage, and elevate staff
• Ability to work in challenging environments while maintaining high standards
• Food hygiene and food preparation qualifications

The Chef's salary is competitive and will be negotiated directly with our owner. We do offer a group insurance package for our employees as well.
