Executive Chef/Food Service Director

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

McKnight Place Extended Care, a luxury senior living community, is looking for an Executive Chef/Food Service Director. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone with excellent, innovative culinary skills, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Culinary training or background.

· Experience: Two years Executive Chef/Food Service Director preferred.

· Other: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with residents, families, and co-workers effectively, strong leadership skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive, of the position:

· Supervise team of Dining Room Management, Servers, Cooks, and Dishwashers.

. Hiring , training, and counseling staff

· Provide support to the dining and food service teams.

· Plan and construct menus, in collaboration with Registered Dietician.

· Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and employees.

· Provide in-service training and education for dining and food service team.

· Participate in care plan meetings.

· Active participant of the management team.
