The iconic Asher Adams, an Autograph Collection Hotel, is an adaptive reuse of the historic Union Pacific Depot. The proposed project includes a new 8-story, 212-key infrastructure, alongside an additional 13 keys in the renovated Depot, totaling 225 keys altogether. The full-service lifestyle luxury hotel will be a first of its kind in the Salt Lake City market. The irreplaceable nature of this generational asset earned it a designation from the Historic Landmark Commission, both for its cultural significance and striking appearance. The property is located across the street from Delta Center, home of the NBA's Utah Jazz and over 150 events scheduled annually at the 18,000-person arena.

Are you a visionary and innovative Executive Chef ready to make culinary history? The Asher Adams hotel which is located in Salt Lake City's historic Union Pacific Depot (Union Station) building est.1908 is seeking an Executive Chef for their opening this fall. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary excellence and have a track record of inspiring teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Our goal is to set a new bar for Salt Lake City dining by incorporating fine dining elements into our style of food and service without being stuffy or over the top. To be a gathering place, a beacon (just like the station itself) for guests and locals to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.
There is something about a train. How it's powered, who is on it, and where it is going.
Inspired by the golden age of railroad travel, our F&B offerings will aim to celebrate the human connection surrounded by great food, proper libations, and good friends. People would bring the provincial tastes and dishes with them on their travels, exploring the eating establishments at different stops and locations along the way. Inspired by how people cured their hunger while on the train, we focused on the dining, club, and bar cars connected to the beasts of transportation.
The dining car represents Rouser our main restaurant where people gather for a top-notch meal.
The club car was for a quick meal or coffee, represents Counterpart our coffee shop.
Finally, the bar car is the focus of not one but two bars in Asher Adams, No.119 and the Bar at Asher Adams in the Grand Hall
In the role of Executive Chef, you will lead our culinary operations, drive menu innovation, uphold food quality standards, and ensure every guest is delighted with each dish.

Qualifications
- 4+ years kitchen management experience
- 5+ years cooking experience
- College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
- Good working knowledge of sanitation standards and proper preparation and presentation of F&B
- Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
- Proven ability to effectively lead and train a diverse workforce
- Willingness to set a high standard in the kitchen through leading by example
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work extended hours when business necessitates in humid and/or extreme temperatures
