Executive Chef
Luxe at Jupiter Rehabilitation Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. This key leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, nutritious, and delicious meals for residents, staff, and guests while adhering to dietary restrictions and regulatory standards. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, staff management, menu planning, and compliance with food safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Menu Development and Meal Preparation:
- Design and implement diverse, resident-focused menus that meet dietary guidelines and preferences.
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure all meals align with nutritional and medical requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring consistent quality and appeal.
Kitchen Operations Management:
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure proper inventory management, including ordering, storage, and rotation of food and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
Staff Supervision and Training:
- Lead, train, and manage the culinary team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop schedules and assign tasks to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
Regulatory Compliance and Food Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all state, federal, and local food safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
- Monitor kitchen sanitation practices, conducting routine inspections to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections and audits.
Resident and Guest Engagement:
- Interact with residents and guests to gather feedback and accommodate special dietary requests.
- Plan and execute special events and themed meals to enhance the dining experience.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Monitor food and labor costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a healthcare, hospitality, or senior living environment.
- A culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary institution is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dietary requirements, including therapeutic diets.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices (ServSafe Certification preferred).
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
