Job Summary



Working as the Executive Chef of a corporate dining account in Hoboken, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the culinary program including cafe and catering services.



Key Responsibilities:



+ Ensure top quality culinary operations and services including planning, preparation, safety, team leadership and hospitality


+ Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards


+ Manages purchasing, inventory and cost controls


+ Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits


+ Follows facility, department, and Company safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reporting


+ Participates and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate






Preferred Qualifications:



+ Three to five years of progressive culinary management experience


+ Related experience in luxury hospitality


+ Strong knowledge of current food and industry trends with a focus on using quality goods, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation


+ Knowledge of budgets, labor costs, inventory controls


+ Strong leadership, coaching and training skills


+ Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, purchasing/inventory systems


+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills


+ ServeSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
