Job Summary
As an Executive Chef, you are responsible for overseeing all culinary functions for a senior living facility in Commack, NY. You will assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff and residents of the community, as well as prepare or direct the preparation of meals in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines.
Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manages cost controls and controls expenditures for the account
+ Plans and creates all menus
+ Purchases and manages inventory
+ Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Culinary degree preferred
+ Three to five years of culinary management experience
+ Prior experience in independent / senior living environment preferred
+ High volume production and catering experience is essential
+ Previous experience managing cost controls
+ Desire to learn and grow with a top-notch foodservice company
