Executive Assistant This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.
Cherokee Insights is seeking an Executive Assistant to handle various administrative tasks to keep command team organized and on track with their tasks by managing schedules, prioritizing appointments, and ensuring timely follow-up to meet mission requirements.
Compensation & Benefits: Pay commensurate with experience.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities Include:
• Update Commander's calendar as needed and upon request and once monthly submit a written comprehensive analysis of Commander's schedule, providing observations, trends, and recommendations related to time management and time spent with external and internal customers/audiences.
• Screen office visitors, telephone calls and electronic inquiries to the Commander.
Receive, escort and sign-in visitors and guests.
Answer inquiries, make referrals and take messages as appropriate.
• Compose, coordinate, proofread, edit and distribute command group and commander's personal/special staff correspondence.
• Coordinate logistics and all actions for briefings, off-site meetings, conferences, official events, social functions, dignitary visits and ceremonies and provide protocol advice for social, official, and dignitary events.
• Assemble and organize read-ahead materials, talking points, and other relevant material in advance of Commander, Command Group and Personal/Special Staff members' meetings and engagements.
• Complete and maintain Defense Travel System (DTS) training in order to coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, travel orders, and commitments for Commander, Command Group and Personal/Special Staff.
• Once quarterly, evaluate, update and provide written recommendations to enhance office procedures to ensure efficient operations and improve internal staffing processes.
• Design templates and formats for recurring knowledge products to increase standardization, streamline day-to-day staffing/administrative operations and increase efficiency.
• Continuously analyze and improve Knowledge Management business practices and processes to identify areas for improvement to facilitate information flow to the right person at the right time.
• Maintain and update staff action tracking tool daily.
• Support S3 as alternate for INSCOM Task Management Tool (TMT).
Assist in the management of the TMT for Center taskers.
• Review, staff, coordinate, produce and route external and internal orders as directed by the S3.
Supports Center and subordinate Activities.
• In coordination with contract Program Manager, may lead training, scheduling coordinating, and delegating his/her own routine duties.
• Develop and deliver briefings, reports, plans, meeting notes, presentations, etc., to Government Team Lead, as required.
• Perform other related duties as requested to provide Executive Assistant support to the Commander, Command Group and Special/Personal Staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned Executive Assistant Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Minimum of ten (10) years of military or government work experience relating to office administration or management
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience composing military correspondence, policies and procedures; providing technical guidance on style and composition; developing formats and templates; organizing workload and master suspense logs; providing support to senior military officers and commanders; providing customer service to visitors of an executive level or VIP status; and directing phone calls and inquiries
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Army, DoD knowledge management and the maintenance and organization of office files and documentation
• Expert level proficiency with MS office and SharePoint software
• Excellent customer service, and oral and written communication skills
