About the Job
This position will have primary responsibility within the Litigation Department for supporting a staff of attorneys Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:- Assisting attorneys with corporate and claims litigation
- Coordinating with claims professionals in connection with litigation managed within the Litigation Department
- Preparing, arranging and publishing presentation materials for executive management, Board of Directors, training webinars and seminars
- Data management and organization; weekly reporting for various practice groups within the Litigation Department
- Liaising with IT and HelpDesk personnel in support of Litigation Department efforts, objectives and personnel
- Maintaining, updating and publishing Litigation Department trial, arbitration, and mediation calendars as well as prompting the Litigation team of litigation critical dates
- Maintaining professional subscriptions and licensing needs of the Litigation Department
- Initiating and maintaining administrative communications between and among the Litigation Department, Claims Department, Underwriting Department, Reinsurance Department, Executive Management
- Administrative support
- Coordinating appointments and calendar management
- Processing and review of legal and other invoices
- Making and booking travel arrangements
- Submission and follow-up of expense reimbursement
- Various administrative duties (copies, larger print jobs, mailings)
- 5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant in a corporate setting
- Expertise in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, ImageRight and DocuSign
- Law firm and/or in-house legal department experience preferred
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure
- Self-motivated team player with the proven ability to work independently and prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
- Ability to multi-task
- Flexibility with overtime

The salary range for this role is $32-44.25/hr. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
