Senior Administrative Assistant - $28-30/ hr, depending on experience
New Haven, CT *Fully on-site*Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm**This is a contract position for approximately 6 months. For a high-performing candidate, this does have a chance to turn permanent. The Senior Secretary will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support to our clients IT team through leveraging strong customer service skills and administrative experience. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for Help Desk inquiries, coordinate administrative tasks for leadership, and facilitate seamless communication within the department and throughout the company.

Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and screen telephone calls.
- Respond to requests for information and provide assistance to colleagues and clients
- Oversee and coordinate administrative, and office activities and order office supplies when needed.
- Establish, implement, and coordinate office procedures and systems.
- Coordinate events as needed book conference rooms, catering, equipment, etc.
- Compile, synthesize, and manipulate data for reports.
- Format, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and other material.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT Help Desk inquiries, create tickets, and evaluate priorities.
- Procure, receive, and track computer equipment and technical supplies.
- Escalate issues and coordinate with team members for prompt resolution.
- As needed, provide financial support for budgeting, contract, and grant-related activities
- Bachelors degree plus 2+ years of customer service and administrative experience, preferably in the IT field. Work experience can be substituted for lack of bachelors degree.
- Previous administrative experience is required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
